Dr Irfana Koita is a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and one of the leading fertility specialists in the UK, known for combining clinical excellence with a highly personalised, patient-first approach to care.
With over 20 years of experience in fertility medicine, Dr Koita specialises in fertility diagnostics, egg freezing, IVF, and preconception care, as well as managing complex conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, and recurrent miscarriage.
She is the Founder and Medical Director of IVF Matters, one of the UK’s first online fertility clinics, built to make expert fertility care more accessible, structured, and continuous beyond traditional clinic settings. Through this model, she integrates diagnostics, consultations, and multidisciplinary care to support patients across their entire fertility journey.
Dr Koita trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at leading institutions including King’s College Hospital London and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG). She also holds a Master’s in Healthcare Leadership from Cornell University, reflecting her focus on advancing how fertility care is delivered at both a clinical and system level.
At the core of her practice is a belief that fertility care should be both precise and deeply supportive. Dr Koita works closely with each patient to understand their biology, context, and goals to design tailored treatment pathways that optimise outcomes while giving patients clarity and control over their decisions.
